Pressed Leaves Pictures

We have some beautiful leaves all over each Fall. This would work well in the Spring also, and with flowers, grasses, etc.
Press the leaves ahead of time and then pull this project out to do sometime when there is "nothing to do."
- 2 Sheets of clear contact paper, placemat size
- Scissors
- Leaves
- Waxed paper
- Large book, Dictionary, or Encyclopedia
How To Make It:
- Gather some fall leaves.
- Place each of the leaves between 2 pieces of waxed paper.
- Place the leaves inside a large book to flatten them. This may take a day to about a week.
- After the leaves are flattened, take them out of the book and remove the waxed paper.
- Arrange them on a separate piece of paper until you have a pleasant arrangement.
Use your imagination! You could make wreaths, butterflies, turkeys, or more!
- Peel the back off of one of the sheets of clear contact paper.
- Place sticky side up on your work area.
- Arrange your leaves on the contact paper in any way desired.
- Peel the backing off of the other sheet of contact paper and carefully place on top of the leaves.
- You can trim around the edges or use decorative scissors to give it a different look.
Tips: If you have troubles with trying to work 2 sheets of contact paper then adhere the first sheet of contact paper to a piece of construction paper cut slightly smaller than the contact. Next place the leaves on the construction paper and cover with the 2nd sheet of contact paper. Trim if necessary.
